Schools right across NSW can request a program, so we have had schools from all corners of Sydney request a program in the past. Coaches can nominate areas/suburbs/regions they are happy to deliver in and when a school in that area requests a program, I can contact that coach and offer them the 8-week program.
Coaches can also accept multiple bookings if they have the time and capacity to take on multiple programs per week.
Candidate criteria
Complete Coach Registration Form including Working With Children Check
Complete prerequisite coaching course – “Improving Sport for People with Intellectual Disability” via our online learning platform Inclusive Sport Academy. Note there is a small fee to complete the course.
Be willing and able to deliver programs during school hours 9am - 3pm.
Be willing to engage young people with Intellectual Disability and Autism in a friendly, supportive and positive manner.
Be able to lead and work as a member of a team when working with school staff and teachers in the delivery of programs
Must be reliable
A background in coaching and/or in sport is preferable but not essential.
Wage rate: We offer coaches with an ABN and qualifications or experience in coaching between $50 - $75 per hour of coaching, depending on level of qualification and experience.
