Sports coaching students can claim recognition of prior learning (RPL) for the Advanced Strength and Conditioning (PER3105) work integrated learning (WIL) placement through this internship.

The Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs are searching for Exercise & Sport Science / High-Performance Sport students interested in participating in an internship during the 2024 pre-season. This internship opportunity is available in the areas of Strength and Conditioning, Sport Science, and performance analysis. Applicants must ensure that this internship aligns with their mandatory practical course requirements and any practical certification requirements set forth by ESSA (Exercise & Sports Science Australia) and ASCA (Australian Strength and Conditioning Association).
During the internship you will gain:
Strength, power, and energy systems development
Performance testing and profiling
GPS utilisation and data collection/reporting
Performance coaching at the pathways level
Personal development and education provided by the bull dogs high performance team
Role requirements (day to day tasks):
Training session preparation (GPS, Field, Gym set up)
Data collection (RPE, body weight, strength ect)
Filming and assisting football coaches
To be successful in this role:
Recently completed or are undertaking a tertiary qualification in exercise science or similar
Punctual and flexible availability
Strong microsoft office, word, powerpoint and excel skills
Current drivers license
Current working with children check
Current first aid certificate
Have or are working towards ASCA level 1
