ABOUT THE ROLE
Type: Full Time
The Community Football Coordinator – Administration, Operations and Events (Greater Sydney) is responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative and operational support to the Independent Schools and broader AFL Sydney competitions including supporting the delivery of events such as Finals and Awards nights. Importantly, this role will be key member of a ‘HUB’ team environment executing our Community Football Competitions.
A key function of this role (with support from the Independent Schools Competition Lead) will be the operational delivery of all Independent Schools competitions in Greater Sydney.
This is a max term role until October 2024.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide support across Independent Schools and all Greater Sydney Competitions
- Provide support to delivery the leagues social media plans
- Oversee the competition management system and database (PlayHQ) including competition set up and delivery
- Coordinate and deliver all Independent School’s competitions in Greater Sydney; including Home & Away and League finals series, to deliver a high-quality experience for participants, officials, umpires and volunteers
- Assist in the competition regrading processes
- Provide gameday support to schools
- Prepare fixtures that meet competition needs
- Manage League match day paperwork?and the efficient updating of scores, results, and ladder through competition management system (PlayHQ)
- Undertake the function of ground manager at Independent School gamedays
- Support the delivery of key events and finals across the AFL Sydney Seniors and Juniors competitions to deliver a high-quality experience for participants, officials, umpires and volunteers
- Deploy staff on Deputy for Independent Schools competition ground managers on a weekly basis.

- Experience with competition and registration management systems, desirable
- Experience with database management and data analysis, desirable
