Dragon Boats NSW is looking for a sport and events enthusiast, who is passionate about delivering exceptional innovative sporting events that grows the sport.
Looking for a role that makes an impact?
As the Program & Events Coordinator you will be responsible for planning and implementing state event projects, including reviewing, and evolving our event offering to ensure we are delivering exceptional experiences to our members.
You will be based in our Sydney Olympic Park Office, alongside our management team and be provided the support to execute your role autonomously.
Your duties will include:
- Leading the development and execution effective state managed events, including providing administrative support of DBNSW events and programs.
- Delivering the Lunar New Year event on Sydney Harbour that caters to both corporate teams and our DBNSW community.
- Producing timely event reports with relevant data analysis and insights, suitable for internal or external stakeholders.
- From the CEO to our volunteers and those in between, you will be managing a range of meaningful stakeholder relationships relating to the management of events and programs.
- Executing events within budget and sharing your informed insights on the development of our annual budget and strategic plan to ensure we can deliver first-class events.
- Driving enthusiasm and passion for our sport, including promoting Dragon Boating with the aim to grow participation throughout NSW.
We're interested in hearing from people who:
- Have demonstrated experience and qualifications in sports or event management.
- Have a strong understanding of events management, including work health and safety, risk management, budget management and compliance requirements relating to the delivery of events.
- Have professional and proactive communication skills with a high attention to detail, and ability to create collaborative relationships.
- Are innovative and creative thinkers who can actively translate their ideas into practice and develop solutions to the problems they identify.
- Are passionate about our values, events, and sport development at both a community and elite level.
