About the role 

This position plays an integral part in supporting the Recreation Programs & Services, who are responsible for providing healthy active living opportunities to the community through initiatives such as the School Holiday Program, the Active Parramatta Fitness Program and the Active Parramatta Van.

Key responsibilities of the position include

• Provide administrative duties and support for various programs including the bookings office.
• Attend sport and recreation activities to supporting internal and external providers in the facilitation of activities.
• Liaise with the Recreation Programs & Services team regarding activity specifics such as location, setup, pack up, wet weather contingencies, problems with program participant’s health, behaviour and their well-being.
• Liaise with the customers and activity providers ensuring positive public relations for Council are presented. 
• Assist in the evaluation of programs and procedures offering feedback and suggestions constructively. 

 

About You 

The successful candidate should have previous experience in the Sport, Recreation and/or Child Care industry. 

More specifically the successful candidate should have 

• A capacity and willingness to be involved in recreation activities
• Minimum qualification of Higher School Certificate or equivalent
• Current First Aid including (CPR) or willingness to obtain
• A valid NSW Working with Children Check Clearance
• Class C Drivers License
• Willingness to to work to a roster
• Well developed communication skills with an ability to communicate with a diverse audiences. 

 

What’s on offer 

We are offering an attractive hourly rate of $33.47 plus 25% casual loading.
