Ku-ring-gai Council are currently looking for a Sports Coach to assist with the running of our Active Ku-ring-gai Junior Golf programs at Gordon Golf Course! This would be a great opportunity for any sports student to gain experience coaching children and young people, and to earn while doing so.
Our Junior Golf program aims to teach 6-12 year olds the very basics of golf, including putting and chipping, while instilling an enthusiasm for golf within the young people of Ku-ring-gai. Our Intermediate Golf program is the perfect opportunity for 12-16 year olds to build on the skills learnt in the Junior Golf program and increase their time out on the golf course. Position description:
Assist our PGA Qualified Instructor in coaching our Junior and Intermediate Golf term programs and school holiday clinics
Assist with the planning of our Junior and Intermediate Golf term programs and school holiday programs
Create a fun and engaging class environment for all participants
Maintain communication with Ku-ring-gai Council’s Recreation Programs Officers
Qualifications and Experience:
University Sports student
Basic knowledge of and an interest in golf
Current and valid Working with Children Check
Current and valid Public Liability Insurance
Current and valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
Community Golf Instructor (preferred but not essential
