The Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA) is one of the country's largest football associations with 17,000+ registered players, 1,200+ teams and 30 member clubs. Our footprint extends from North Sydney to Brooklyn. Our vision is to have the highest retention rate of any grassroots Australian sporting organisation by providing accessible, enjoyable and inclusive football opportunities to our local community.
We aim to grow the sport by raising the quality across five key areas: Competitions, Facilities, Marketing & Communication, Community Football Development & Pathways.
This role will include leadership and management of the following areas:
- Manage all NSFA/NT/XLR8 social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter) including content schedule and community management
- Manage the NSFA/NT/XLR8 WordPress websites, ensuring information is current and engaging news stories are added regularly
- Coordinate content, create and distribute electronic direct mail (eDM) for NSFA/NT/XLR8 in collaboration with other staff members
- Oversee all content planning and execution, including photography and videography for events/programs as required. Work with external contractors / stakeholders when appropriate.
- Analyse and evaluate data from digital communication activities monthly to provide insights and recommendations in line with the marketing and communications plan
- Lead interactions with external media contacts to promote NSFA activities
- Acquisition of new sponsors as well as servicing of sponsorship and charity partnership agreements under direction from the Chief Executive Officer
- Coordination and oversight of Annual Report documents including responsibility for report images and content as well as coordination with publishers
The suitable candidate must have:
- Knowledge on the basics of content creation for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter), gained either through study or practical experience
- Ability to create email newsletters using services like Mailchimp, Vision6, etc
- Experience writing and managing content for websites, preferably on Wordpress
- Ability to use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign) or similar programs to create engaging online graphics, print material and video content
- The ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects within deadlines

- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- Sports Marketing / PR / Communications Degree
