A bit more about us…. we are the governing body for Football and Futsal in New South Wales, with the exception of the northern regions of NSW. We are a member of the national governing body, Football Australia (FA). With the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup fast approaching there is no more exciting time to join this fabulously passionate and exciting organisation. What’s more, VSP ‘the home of football’ has been selected as a training site to host an international team at the WWC in 2023!
Football NSW is located at Valentine Sports Park (VSP) in Glenwood NSW. The venue includes staff offices, 5 meticulously kept playing fields, lecture rooms, indoor sports hall, accommodation, a 20 metre indoor pool, cafe and on site gym - facilities you too will benefit from!
ABOUT THE ROLE
This position of Program Manager - Club Development is responsible for the management and operations of Football Australia’s national club development program – Game Changer, with particular focus on enhancing the football experience for women and girls.
The program’s objective is to empower community clubs to make positive change within their environments through aides of resources, gap analysis and counsel by all levels of governance in football.
With a strong focus of increasing a club’s capacity building for women and girls, Game Changer will also reward and recognize a club’s efforts in action planning and improvement in areas of deficiency.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead the Club Development Program implementation and delivery within (Member Federation) with a strict focus on women and girls.
- To be the point of contact for local community clubs in relation to the program, inclusive of regular face to face consultation and online group forums.
- End to end support for clubs to adopt, engage and complete the program through the Game Changer platform.
- Develop strategies to streamline and create efficient operations within the Club Development remit.
- Ensure quality control of program implementation within the region.
- Ensure a collaborative approach to decision making with stakeholders.
- Successfully implement strategy and initiatives within clubs that promote positive environments for women & girls.

SPECIFIED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar management position.
- Sound understanding of the sporting ecosystem, inclusive of multi-layered governance structures and challenges within community sport.
- Demonstrated experience working within sporting clubs and/or organisations.
- A deep passion for growing participation of football in the Women & Girls sector.
