Coaching Qualifications
All coaches must be committed to Netball Australia coaching qualifications pathways and once appointed a coach begin their journey to gaining accreditation.
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Plan and conduct 1 weekly training session;
* Manage the players at the weekly game;
* Complete end of season coaching reports;
* Engage with your team in an empowering way that has them enjoy their netball;
* Inspire your players with all things netball.
Within that, you will work towards the following:
* Ensuring your players reach the core age based competencies as outlined by Netball Australia
* Creating sessions that develop your players in these core skills
* Developing the strengths of your players
* Creating and developing combinations between players
* Develop in conjunction with players a set of team goals for the season
* Identifying strengths and weaknesses in your opposition and game planning based on those observations
* Being a role model for the principles of fair play and ensure players display the same qualities.
* Treating all players equally and with respect and consider any individual differences based on gender, ethnic origin, religion or ability.
* Encouraging your players to pursue their other interests in netball - for example; in representative pathways and/or umpiring and/or coaching.
BNC Coaching Expectations
* Club focused;
* Reliable in attendance and communication;
* Committed for the entire season;
* Fair to all players;
* Empathetic to the needs to of individuals whilst not impacting the team;
* Well organised.
