The Event:
The FWBWC22 is the world’s largest international women’s basketball competition and one of the most prestigious titles in the sport. By volunteering, you’re contributing to the success of a memorable, world-class event on home soil. Your unique skills, talent and passion for the game will bring to life the values of integrity, unity, being progressive, inclusive and authentic.
The Opportunities:
• Media: Working alongside FIBA and LOC media teams, media volunteers will contribute to producing a world-class media service throughout the duration of the event. This will include supporting media and teams throughout the required media activities and well as supporting general media and broadcast operations. There are several media roles, all of which require different skills and knowledge.
• Activations: Activation volunteers will get amongst the action in the fan zone as they assist with the setup and the management of activations during event time.
• Transport: Supporting our LOC Transport team, Transport Support volunteers will help with managing the arrival and departure of coaches, VIPs, and Referee buses at venues and hotels.
• Drivers: Drivers will be responsible for transporting important stakeholders including referees, media, VIP, and FIBA staff to and from venues.
• Sports Presentation: Working with the FWBWC22 presentation team, Sports Presentation volunteers will be involved with activations, giveaways and managing the mascot on the court!
• Accreditation: Help our accreditation team develop and deliver official FWBWC22 accreditation passes to our stakeholders. You will support the event time accreditation centre build and develop and distribute passes to stakeholders.
