Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach

The Kings are a professional sporting club that have competed in the National Basketball League (NBL) since 1988. The Kings are current NBL Champions, have four championships to their name and have hosted many of Australia’s greatest past and present basketball legends. The Kings are based in Auburn and play their home games at Qudos Bank Arena in Olympic Park.
The assistant strength and conditioning coach will be based at the King’s facilities in Auburn and Olympic Park. Hours will average between 10-20 hours per week.
Position duties will include:
- Oversee live GPS monitoring systems throughout training sessions and home games
- Assist and oversee the collection and analysis of wellness, load and gym based data
- Assist in the design and implementation of rehab processes
- Oversee on-court warm-ups, strength and conditioning and recovery sessions
- Contribute to performance department in-services
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- Related undergraduate or postgraduate degree
- A passion for self growth and development
- A background in sport
- Proven experience (sports internship etc) in strength and conditioning
- An understanding of load and wellness monitoring theories and principles
- An understanding of strength and conditioning/sports science technology such as GPS, force plate etc
- An understanding of basketball and the NBL
