Position: Program Director for the Australian Men’s Goalball Team (“Aussie Storm”)

The Program Director is a voluntary position, with costs of travel and logistics involved with the attendance at training camps and events covered by the program. Other related costs may be reimbursed on negotiation with the Goalball Australia Executive

Primary Purpose: To support the Head Coach to plan & deliver the program for the Australian Men’s Goalball Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Goalball Australia’s protocols and processes regarding the Aussie Storm
• Liaise with relevant National Senior Coaches to prepare the Aussie Storm program calendar of events
• Submit proposed program calendar along with budgets to the Goalball Australia Executive for approval prior to any arrangements being made
• Liaise with players in regard to all aspects of the senior program and the calendar, including proposed costs of activities
• Make logistical arrangements, including venue, flight and accommodation bookings, for all senior squad activities (camps and competitions)
• Liaise with the Youth Program Director when there are joint activities
• Submit all invoices for payment to the Goalball Australia Treasurer in a timely manner
• Submit final costing for activities to the Goalball Australia Treasurer at least 4 weeks prior to any activity so invoices can be sent to athletes for payment prior to the activity
• Ensure all squad members complete & submit relevant paperwork by due deadlines, including event nominations, classification, medical & relevant personal information
• Ensure classification records are updated on the Goalball Australia database.
• Responsible for liaising and working with Goalball Australia’s Youth Program Director to ensure a smooth transition for players from youth to senior program
• Actively support and encourage athletes to support Goalball Australia fundraising campaigns to support senior program activities

NB: This role is a non-travelling role. The Program Director will not automatically be selected to travel with senior teams to camps & competitions but may be considered if the need arises
