This role is perfect for someone looking for casual work to fit around other employment, family commitments or while studying. As school sports return and our program numbers increase, there will be the ability to work hours which suit your schedule.
Responsibilities
Become a member of NSW Goalball (at no cost to themselves) and adhere to the terms & conditions and Code of Conduct.
Assist in delivering educational classes and programs as part of the Goalball-4-Schools program, PASS program, Activate Inclusion Sport Days or ‘come & try’ initiatives.
Assist in developing relationships and communicating with school representatives such as Vision Support Teachers, PDHPE Teachers and Vice Principals to book programs and secure repeat opportunities.
Assist at various competitions such as Sydney City Cup, Schools Tournament and Australian Goalball Championships.
Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
Promote the sport in a positive light.
Help foster an inclusive, safe and fun environment for all members, participants and supporters.
Eligibility Criteria
Previous coaching or educational experience with school-aged children (8-18).
Excellent and engaging communication including the ability to instruct and manage classes of up to 25 participants.
Professional and relatable demeanour ensuring positive relationships are easily formed with various stakeholders.
Demonstratable tenacity, reliability and time management skills.
Knowledge of Goalball or other disability sports favoured but not mandatory.
Ability to travel within an agreed geographical region in order to deliver programs.
A valid Working With Children Check, Police Check and Proof of Vaccinations.
