The Opportunity:

DTE Endurance is looking for interns who are passionate about developing their skills and understanding of the mass participation events market. Opportunities exist to support clients in the Australian/ NZ marketplace as well as lead the event delivery support services. You will be a key role in the organization and will be accountable for the overall success of our Race Roster Clients and support provided.The Event Specialist will work with aspects of customer services for DTE Endurance and will be a strategist who is keen to put forward new ideas around technology adaptions. The role will require strong analytical skills, understanding of events, competent with and love technology and enjoyment in management skills in supporting clients where required.The goal is to ensure that all clients within Race Roster and DTE Endurance have the best possible experience to maintain retention of these clients. In some instances, this role may also support the acquisition of new clients where applicable.

Job Title: Event Specialist  

Duration: February to December 2022 (flexible)

Hours: 5-10 hours per week (flexible)

• Responsibilities:  
  • Event Specialist
    • DTE Endurance social media – LinkedIn, Facebook & Instagram
    • Supporting event clients with their technical questions
    • Managing and using key Analytics and insights on event trends
    • Promotion of DTE Endurance marketing services
    • Support the preparation of material to present to potential new clients
    • Supporting new developments with fresh and innovate ideas for adaptions to our technology
    • Special projects as required

Selection Criteria:

• Currently undertaking tertiary level studies – Undergraduate or postgraduate degree level: Sports Business, Sport Management, Sports Coaching or Media (i.e. hours may count towards the Work Integrated Learning component of the studies)
• Must have an interest in Events, Sport and Technology
• Working With Children check required.

Work Integrated Learning:

WIL is an important component of the ACPE learning experience.  ACPE students who undertake this internship will be able to use the internship to fulfil their WIL requirements for the following units (maximum of one unit per semester):

• SPB2201 – Building Relationships in Sports Business
• SPB3201 – Event and Project Management
• SPB3203 – Preparing for the Sport Industry of the future
• PER2102 – Professional Communication
