Position: Assistant Manager

Organisation:  East Gymnastics is a high quality and professional recreational gymnastics club in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. We are very busy with 1000 students a week so are seeking an Assistant Manager to support our Manager and Director.

This role comprises a mix of customer service, general admin and gymnastics coaching. Reporting to and working closely with the gym Manager. You will ideally have a background in gymnastics and/or coaching, as well as some administrative experience.

This role will provide opportunities for growth and will suit someone looking to learn more about managing a team and how to operate a professionally run business.

Specific Requirements:

• Communication with current and prospective customers
• Coaching children of all ages
• Overseeing the Kindergym program and working with the Program Manager across the whole program
• General operational duties e,.g. purchasing supplies, tidying/cleaning, assisting with COVID safe practices
• Writing newsletters
• Managing social media accounts
• Assisting with enrolment procedures

Essential Criteria:

• Excellent communication skills
• A passion for working with children of all ages and abilities and a fun and engaging personality
• Strong computer skills across Microsoft programs and social media
• Previous gymnastics coaching experience
• Ability to be a team leader and help manage 10-14 employess
• A commitment to being a team player
• Very good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Being able to work independently and take responsibility for decitions
• Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Working with children check.

The annual salary package is extremely competitive and will include a bonus, training allowance and other perks such as team events. This new role is flexible and can be tailored to either part-time or full-time hours for the right candidate.
