About Masters Swimming NSW

Masters Swimming is all about promoting a fit and healthy lifestyle in a fun and supportive way & to enrich & inspire adults to swim for life. Membership is open to people who are 18 years or older. An individual who has attained the age of 18 can join a Masters Club to train and compete in club, branch and national Masters events. FINA still retains its minimum age, for competing, at 25 years. The objective for this role is to strengthen & raise the profile of the 45th Masters Swimming Australia National Championships, to encourage members to participate.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Assist with the development of a content strategy and social media strategy including publishing
  • Develop a social media content calendar and create engaging content for social channels such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube (where relevant).
  • Source content/write articles to publish and promote across assets (including website).
  • Create marketing collateral including newsletter content
  • Initiate and manage social media advertising.
  • Monitor and report on website and social media analytics.

Preferred skills:

  • The preferred candidate should have a real interest in adult swimming.
  • The following skills and background would also be useful:
  • Some graphic design skills would be highly desirable
  • Influencer marketing & PR experience would be highly desirable
  • Good communications skills, be social media and tech savvy
  • Strong attention to detail, well organised, self-motivated & able to work independently
  • Plus additional tasks as required, dependant on workflow and demands.

Location and Hours of Work:

  • Location: Flexible, either from our office in Sydney Olympic Park and/or online
  • Number of hours per week: as determined, in consultation with team, expected to increase as event nears.
  • Dates: Start date flexible in consultation with team. Initial briefing immediately.
