• Title: Social Media Assistant
• Department: Events – Beach competition
• Location: Multiple locations around NSW
• Purpose / Objectives: Gain valuable event experience while undertaking multiple tasks across the event to deliver the best experience for athletes and spectators.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

This is a newly created and exciting role, reporting to the Portfolio Manager - Beach Events, as a key member of our Team Event! Working closely with the Portfolio Manager and Marketing Manager your focus is to develop and grow brand awareness through social media & website; utilising your creative flair and knowledge on channel trends. Main responsibilities for the role would include:

• Developing, and executing the events Social Media marketing strategy across all platforms including website, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube etc with the goal to boost following and brand footprint
• Creating and managing content across all digital mediums, coordinating targeted and timely communication campaigns to build excitement around our events
• Manage Influencer & Stakeholder relationships, seeking new opportunities and maximising existing opportunities
• Develop and manage events and activations for NSW Beach Tour, working closely with the event team
• Demonstrate a professional attitude and a willingness to work as a member of a close-knit team at all times
• Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Event Manager or other VNSW Staff from time to time.

The successful candidate would ideally want to work in sports events or sports marketing. You embrace challenges and responsibility with enthusiasm and energy. You enjoy a being part of a successful team, pride yourself on your professional approach and possess a positive attitude.

• Knowledge and preferred comfort working across all social media platforms
• Excellent communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to work alone and successfully with a team
• Video editing skills would be highly regarded
• Knowledge in Sports or Events Marketing highly regarded
• No Volleyball or Beach Volleyball knowledge or experience is needed
• Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment collaboratively and under pressure
• Bring a positive and professional can-do attitude
