Volleyball NSW is undergoing exciting growth in programming and events all across NSW. Significant opportunities are continuing to surface that allow the sport to continue to grow extensively across all locations, formats and ages. Volleyball NSW is always looking for dynamic, passionate and fun-loving people to join our team working both at an organisational level and directly within the sport on the ground.
Key details:
Title: Event Assistant (x3)
Department: Events – Beach competition
Duration: October to February
Location: Multiple locations around NSW
Purpose / Objectives: Gain valuable event experience while undertaking multiple tasks across the event to deliver the best experience for athletes and spectators.
Interns will be paid on event days, with planning hours in the office being unpaid.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Court Management
Entering Results
Venue access/egress & monitoring
Event set up / pack up
Equipment maintenance including storage
Point of contact for procedures/information during tournament
Create and deliver content for social media and website
Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Event Manager or other VNSW Staff from time to time.
Key Competencies
Be a clear and accurate communicator (both verbally and in writing)
Take pride in outstanding guest service and getting the details right
Have excellent time management and organisational skills
Eager to learn and adapt to new challenge
Bring a positive and professional can-do attitude
Knowledge in marketing and social media is a plus
Video editing highly desirable
Volleyball knowledge not necessary
