About Organisation:

NBC Badminton Academy delivers high quality training programs and provides an effective learning environment for over 200 students. Our students are mainly kids ranging from 5 years to 18 years of age, and some adults.

We are the fastest growing academy in Sydney and about to open in 3 more locations (from the 3 existing locations). About the role:

In this role, you are coaching high-energy group classes and private classes with high level of engagement with the kids who are at grassroot and early development stages. You will ensure the effective delivery of the academy training programs and maintain high standard of customer service both on and off the court. You are required to work on weekdays and weekends, with one day off. Training equipment related to the coaching work is supplied. On-going training and mentoring are provided to excel in the field of badminton coaching.

This role has the potential to be fulltime for the right person with a combination of coaching, supervision, and administration, working together with the academy manager.

Essential criteria:

• Current rights to work in Australia
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Must hold (or be willing to obtain) a Working with Children Clearance
• Demonstrated experience in sport coaching with group of kids (badminton or other sports)
• Willingness to learn new skills/methods and grow as a coach
• Outstanding time management, group management and organisational skills
• Excellent communicator with high level of engagement in kids sporting environment
• Basic technical knowledge in movement, fitness and physical development

Desirable criteria:

• Certificate in Community Coaching General Principles by Sportaus
• Completed Play by the Rules courses in Child Protection, Harassment and Discrimination
• First Aid and CPR
• Having badminton-related exposure, either in coaching or playing, is beneficial
• Having sport coaching certificate, either in badminton or other sports, is beneficial
