The Collaroy Centre is seeking Casual outdoor recreational activity instructors to join their team, responsible to lead and supervise a wide range of outdoor activity-based programs catering predominately to schools, corporate and other groups.

You will be required to teach skills and techniques in activities such as laser tag, high ropes, beach activities, team building challenges, rock climbing, abseiling, flying fox and archery.

Ideally you will be working towards qualifications in Sports and Recreation or Fitness or Outdoor Education. However, consideration will be given to sports enthusiasts with on-the-job training provided to National Standards in a variety of Outdoor Adventure Activities.

To be successful in the role you will be;

  • Enthusiastic about teaching and helping children have fun
  • Available for day and weekend programs
  • Certified in First Aid (preferable)
  • Hold a valid Working with Children Check
  • Comfortable working at heights (preferable)
  • An energetic, positive, encouraging and engaging personality
  • A confident communicator
  • Capable with group management
  • Versed in safety techniques
