The High Performance Academy is a 5 day on-site program at the University of Queensland. The program focuses on leadership in athletics as a High Performance Coach and your role as a Coach Developer.

This is a required component of the Australian Athletics Level 4 High Performance Coach accreditation.

Why is this Course a Component of the High Performance Program? 

Becoming coach developers reflects the belief that great high performance coaching is not only about technical expertise, but also about leadership, communication, and the ability to develop others. Coaching international level athletes is fundamentally coaching adults, which means understanding how adults learn, reflect, adapt, and take ownership of their development. 

The onsite environment also creates a valuable sense of community, allowing coaches to challenge ideas, learn from one another, and build the relationships and shared leadership capacity needed to strengthen the broader high performance coaching system.
