The Urunga Sail Training Club are holding workshops promoting social connection, wellbeing and resilience through a grant received from Healthy North Coast, for communities affected by the bushfires of 2019/2020 in the Bellingen, Nambucca and Coffs Harbour local areas.

All workshops are free events and materials are supplied. Bookings are essential as numbers are limited to 10 p/p session.

Nautical Mat making workshop 

This course is for men only – during the day you will construct an ocean plait mat for decoration or everyday use. The workshop is to bring those affected by the fires to come together, share and reflect and produce something that you can be proud. Optional to bring a memento or object, photo, piece of fabric that was left from the aftermath of the fires to plait into the mat.
